TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) is offering a Remote Pilot Ground School class to help individuals prepare for the FAA Knowledge Exam for remote pilots.
The course, based on FAA Regulation 14 CFR 107, will be taught by Taylor Abrecht of TNL Aviation. It is open to individuals who have obtained a recreational pilot TRUST certificate, available for free at trust.pilotinstitute.com. The course will cover key topics such as airspace regulations, weather, and loading and performance to help students succeed in the FAA exam.
The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 24, 25, and 27; March 31, April 1, and 3; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 29 and April 5. All sessions will take place at CTEC 101 at Eastern Wyoming College. The cost of the course is $455, which includes the textbook. The registration deadline is March 17.
Abrecht, a certified aviation instructor, brings extensive experience in remote piloting and flight instruction to the course.
