District hires outside consultant

GOSHEN COUTNY – Board chairman, Lena Moeller, called the special meeting of the Goshen County School Board to order at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8. In attendance were board members Val Sharp, Chris Alexander, Wade Phipps, Kate Steinbock, Tony Goulart, Dylan Hager, Kelly Strampe and Sarah Chaires. Superintendent Ryan Kramer was also in attendance. 

Following the Pledge of Allegiance, a motion was made to adopt the evenings agenda by Chaires, which was seconded by Strampe. The motion carried by vote. 

Moeller noted there would be no public comment. 

A motion was made by Chaires to enter into executive session, pursuant to Wyoming State Statue 16-4-405(a)(ii) and 16-4-405(a)(ix). Steinbock seconded the motion and it carried by vote. 

At 6:57 p.m., Alexander left the meeting. 

At 7:45 p.m., the board returned to the regular session where they moved on to the next item on their agenda, item four, the consideration of outside consultant appointment. Alexander appeared via Zoom.

Steinbock made a motion to appoint an outside consultant, which was seconded by Chaires. Moeller called for a vote where Sharp, Phipps, Steinbock, Goulart, Hager, Strampe and Chaires voted in favor while Alexander voted against appointing an outside consultant. The motion carried and the meeting was then adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
