1:48 a.m. – Harassment on West C Street. Subject said a blue jeep was driving past his house honking its horn and drove in the lot behind his house before driving toward the park. Disposition: completed.

3:02 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle on East Valley Road. Office investigated a suspicious vehicle in Torrington. Disposition: completed.

8:06 a.m. – Scam calls, monetary and computer fraud on West C. Street. Subject told police they believed they were being scammed due to getting a parking ticket from Deadwood, South Dakota. Subject advised law enforcement the vehicle was sold but retained the plates. Disposition: completed.

3:31 p.m. – Records entry on East 22nd Avenue. Department entered six subpoenas. Disposition: Completed.

4:25 p.m. – Animal call on West 25th Avenue. Caller told police there was a squirrel trapped in the fireplace and needed assistance removing it from the house. Disposition: Completed.

4:45 p.m. – Harassment on West 24th Avenue. Subject went to the police department to speak to an officer about someone harassing their family. Disposition: completed.

6:03 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on West C Street. Officer investigated activity on West C Street in Torrington. Disposition: completed.

8 p.m. – Extra patrol on West B Street, per 113. Police kept a watch for anyone unusual in the area and watched a house due to aggressive threats made via phone calls to a resident in the area. Disposition: Completed.

2:49 a.m. – Trespass on West C Street. Subject reported two people knocking on their front door. Disposition: completed.

9:36 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on West C Street. Subject reported a homemade pipe was made in ceramics class. Disposition: completed.

10:34 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on Road 55 F. Subject stated they had tried to reach the prison and main number in Cheyenne, they were only getting the busy signal. The subject told law enforcement someone was supposed to be there at 0700 to see what was going on, however, no one had completed the call at that time. Subject stated it was a serious situation and law enforcement checked it out. Disposition: completed.

3:22 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East 22nd Avenue. Subject called to report a suspicious person followed them around town on Dec. 12, 2022, and was doing so again. They told police they reported the initial incident to GCSO. Disposition: completed.

5:22 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle on East 27th Avenue. Subject called in a white van sitting down the street by the park on the west side of the baseball field with the lights off and someone inside. The caller also stated the inside lights kept going on and off. Disposition: completed.

Jan. 6

2:05 a.m. Motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 85. Caller stated they hit a deer at 71 on U.S. Highway 85 and dragged the deer off the road. The caller told police the vehicle is damaged and wants a crash report. They also told police they were heading back to town and will meet a deputy at the sheriff’s office. Disposition: completed.

9:06 a.m. – Follow up on an incident or case on East 22nd Avenue. Local law enforcement went to Greeley to process a vehicle. Disposition: report required.

9:45 a.m. – Scam calls, monetary or computer fraud on West B Street. Caller told police they had some fraudulent checks deposited into their account. Disposition: report required.

10:18 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East c Street. Subject told police they are getting phone calls and advised a male is saying nasty and mean things to them. They told police the number came up as a private number and wanted to know what their options were. Disposition: completed.

2:09 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on West 15th Avenue. Caller told police they had a protection order violence and asked for an officer to call back. Disposition: completed.

2:27 p.m. – Assistance to the public on East 22nd Avenue. Law enforcement provided a funeral escort to Valley View Cemetery west gate. Disposition: completed.

4:53 p.m. – Log information on U.S. Highway 26. Caller reported a blue Buick Regal in the bottom of the ravine and advised a tow company to remove it the following day on Jan. 7, 2023 sometime during the morning. Disposition: completed.

8:17 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on West C Street and West Valley Road. Caller reported hearing gunshots. Disposition: completed.

1:14 a.m. – Disturbance on Main Street. Caller reported a disturbance involving an individual described to be wearing a yellow jersey with black and camo in the parking lot. Disposition: completed.

7:15 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on McDowell Avenue. Caller reported a gold Blazer parked in the alley behind an abandoned property and that the front door of the property was open with footprints leading to the door. Disposition: report required.

12:06 p.m. – Assistance to the public on East 22nd Avenue. Routine pager test – did not populate. Disposition: completed.

1 p.m. – Assistance to the public on East 22nd Avenue. Routine pager test. Disposition: completed.

2:30 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East F street. Subject called to speak to an officer regarding someone attempting to black mail them. Disposition: completed.

2:33 p.m. – Burglary on Clover Avenue. Disposition: report required. 

2:38 p.m. – Suspicious circumstance on Main Street. Caller advised police they were walking along the river and found a fanny pack and a suitcase. They offered to meet a deputy nearby to talk them to where they found the items. Disposition: completed.

3:48 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East 22nd Avenue. Caller told police someone was threatening them. Disposition: completed.

Jan. 8

12:15 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle on West 15th Avenue. Officer initiated activity and investigated a suspicious vehicle. Disposition: completed.

4:34 a.m. – Assistance to the public on Road 53 D and U.S. Highway 26. Caller informed police the railroad crossing lights were not working at this intersection. Disposition: completed.

12:35 p.m. – Assistance to the public on College Drive. Caller told police a silver Mitsubishi vehicle got gas and drove off from the station. Caller wanted law enforcement to make contact with the gas station and individual to pay for the fuel. Disposition: completed.

1:30 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on West 28th avenue. Caller told police someone dumped trash and furniture by the stop sign near their house within the last 30 minutes but did not see who had done it. Disposition: completed.

2:03 p.m. –Found property report on Main Street. Someone turned in a debit card found at the ATM to the police department. Disposition: completed.

5:13 p.m. – Generic fire call, not specified on East 2nd Avenue. Caller told police they could smell burning wires or insulation. Disposition: completed.

10:50 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances on Campbell Drive. Caller told police they had a knife to their own throat and said no one was helping. Disposition: completed.

11:42 p.m. – Open door or window reported on East 3rd Street in Lingle. Caller reported an open door to a nearby building. Police secured the door. Disposition: completed.

Jan. 9

12:37 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East B Street. Caller told law enforcement there were two to three people in the alley and were walking around the caller’s brother’s house. The caller was unable to provide a clothing description and did not know what direction the individuals were heading. Disposition: completed.

7:50 a.m. – Municipal, District or Circuit court needed a bailiff from a court case at 8 a.m. Disposition: completed.

7:57 a.m. – Assistance to the public on U.S. Highway 26. Caller told law enforcement the red railroad crossing signs were not working. GCSD advised they investigated the railroad crossing lights the day prior from another report and saw the lights were working properly at that time. The caller told the sheriff’s office that was not possible because the times the officer gave them were before the time they got the initial report. Law Enforcement advised they could potentially have devices with different time zones which could explain the time difference. The caller said that was not the case and asked if the city could go take a look. Disposition: completed.

9:10 a.m. – Lost property report on West C Street. Caller asked law enforcement to give them a phone call and needed to report a stolen social security card. The caller said they believe their wallet was taken on Friday night. The wallet reportedly had the person’s driver’s license, debit card, insurance cards and $4 in cash. Disposition: completed.

9:50 a.m. – Scam calls, monetary or computer fraud on Road 43. Caller said they had just received a phone call stating they were from the police department and were asking for money. Police advised the caller this is a scam that has been going around. To which the caller said they thought so but wanted to still inform law enforcement. Disposition: completed.

10:04 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East K. Street. Caller told police the local kids who live on the other side of the block wept coming to their house and letting their dog out of their yard. The caller told police they had been trying to figure out who was letting their dog out prior to making the call as this has been going on for months. The caller also told police they are scared the dog is going to get stolen or hit by a vehicle. Disposition: completed.

11:37 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances on East M Street. Caller called to report threats being made against them. Disposition: report required.

1:02 p.m. – Trespass on West 20th Avenue. An individual walked into the lobby to let someone know someone had taken their dog and repeatedly said they knew they were not supposed to be there due to a trespass order. Disposition: report required.

1:44 p.m. – 9-1-1 call, abandoned, open line near Verizon Tower in LaGrange on U.S. Highway 85. Verizon reported a test call. Disposition: completed.

3:32 p.m. – Assault on West E Street. Caller reported a student was threatening another student. Disposition: completed.

10:49 p.m. – Disturbance on East 17th Avenue. Caller told police they could hear a person screaming and thought they were being beaten due to someone leaving the apartment on foot in pajama pants. Disposition: completed.

8:32 a.m. – Traffic complaints of speed and reckless driving on Rio Vista Road and West B. Street. The caller said the driver and themselves were at the bus garage where a vehicle ran the bus’s red lights and stop sign. Disposition: completed.

8:52 a.m. – Lost property report on Campbell Drive. Caller stated they lost their identification. Disposition: completed.

9:13 a.m. – Log information on East M Street. Law Enforcement provided a full honors funeral at Lifeway Church. Disposition: completed.

11:51 a.m. – Any civil problem on High Street. A representative from Aaron’s out of Scottsbluff, Nebraska was requesting a civil standby as they were attempting to recover property from non-payment of a local resident. Disposition: completed.

12:23 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances on West B Street. Caller reported someone attempted to overdose and did not know what they had taken. The caller told police they were in another state and the individual had told them. Disposition: completed.

1:33 p.m. – 9-1-1 call on abandoned, open line. Verizon Tower test call from Verizon Tower in LaGrange, U.S. Highway 85. Disposition: completed.

3:10 p.m. – Assistance to the public on West A Street. Caller told police someone left a vehicle with keys in it, in the parking lot. They caller told police they were not sure who the car belonged to and would like to get ahold of them. Disposition: completed.

3:46 p.m. – Larceny on Sage Creek Drive. The individual reported a stolen purse from work at the police department. Disposition: report required.

4:26 p.m. – Assistance to another agency on East 22nd Avenue. The caller called in a partial plate of someone caught stealing from one of the stores in Wheatland and the other department advised local authorities there were possible matches from residents in Goshen County. Disposition: completed.

5:31 p.m. – Harassment on East C. Street. The caller claimed they have a trespass order against an individual from a long time ago due to this individual causing problems from when they worked there. The caller told police the individual showed up to the caller’s house and wanted to know if the trespass order still stands. Disposition: completed.

10:53 p.m. – Suspicious person on Curtis Avenue and Main Street in Torrington. The caller told police a lot of people just crossed the tracks. Disposition: completed.
