GOSHEN COUNTY – The rest area between Lingle and Torrington no longer has bathrooms, a water fountain, or any sort of structure, but that didn’t stop dozens of visitors from parking there Monday morning for the total solar eclipse.
Amongst the crowd of day-trippers were at least two individuals who were several thousand miles from home – hailing from the island town of Stenløse, Denmark, just outside of Copenhagen.
Per and Elisabeth don’t consider themselves eclipse chasers, however they did witness the total solar eclipse in Salzburg, Austria in 1999.
