GOSHEN COUNTY – It has already been an eventful December for area fire departments.
The Yoder Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire around 10 p.m. on Monday, December 2, according to their social media post near the intersection of US Highway 85 and the Silver Tip intersection.
“There were no injuries reported. Volunteers responded with three engines, a command unit and 12 firefighters,” the department explained. “Torrington ambulance also responded to the assist.”
On Tuesday afternoon, the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire in the rural area commonly known as #9, north of Torrington.
“Command, rural one, 12, 15 and tanker one responded with eight firefighters,” Torrington fire explained. “Even though we find ourselves in December conditions are still very favorable for high fire activity.”
