Coulson, Wunder all-conference

TORRINGTON – The Wyoming Coaches Association released its annual postseason awards for high school softball teams across the state on May 27 and the list contained two Goshen County athletes.

Southeast High School junior Rein Coulson captured first team all-conference accolades while Lingle-Fort Laramie High School senior Skyla Wunder secured second team all-conference honors. 

Coulson and Wunder both played for the Torrington High School Lady Blazers softball team in its inaugural season as a varsity squad.

Rein Coulson

Coulson led the Lady Blazers in batting average at .558 and on-base percentage at .571. Coulson finished the 2025 spring season ranked No. 3 in the South conference for batting average and fifth in all-classifications for Wyoming. 

Coulson collected 36 runs over the course of the season. The junior tallied 43 hits, including four home runs, three triples, 13 doubles and 23 singles. Coulson also posted 36 RBI for the season, along with four stolen bases.

On defense, Coulson played a variety of roles, including catcher and shortstop.

Skyla Wunder

Wunder paced the Lady Blazers in home runs for the 2025 spring season, tallying six. The incoming senior at LFL totaled 21 runs and 25 hits, including five doubles and 14 singles.

Wunder recorded 27 RBI and posted a .439 batting average on the season. The senior also tallied an on-base percentage of .486.

Wunder was skilled at running bases and stole six throughout the season.

Defensively, Wunder played several positions but excelled as catcher for the Lady Blazers.
