Cops and Cones

During the Cops and Cones gathering many area children not only enjoyed a free ice cream treat from Bee Chilled and the Torrington Police Department but they also enjoyed a free swim in the Dale Jones Municipal Pool on Monday afternoon. The department utilizes DARE funding to sponsor the ice cream truck. According to Torrington Police Chief Matt Johnson and Bee Chilled staff nearly 150 free treats were provided to area youth.

The Torrington Police Department, Bee Chilled and the Torrington Elks Lodge provided the community youth with a few special treats during the Cops and Cones social gathering at the Dale Jones Municipal Pool on Monday afternoon. Bee Chilled served up nearly 150 free ice cream treats to patiently waiting children during the pool break while the Torrington Elks Lodge provided a free swim for the community. The event was previously scheduled for Thursday, August 8 but cooler weather moved the event.
