TORRINGTON – Claudia Dean Joslin was born on February 28,1939, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2025, in Torrington. Claudia was the third of four children born to Aubrey and Iva Mar Alexander Claudia cared deeply for her family and left school early to help contribute to the household. At 16, Claudia married the love of her life, LeeRoy Feeler, on June 14,1955.
Together they embarked on many adventures, From Frankenstein’s Castle in Germany to the Serengeti of Tanzania. But their greatest adventures were their three sons; LeeRoy Jr, Christopher and Franklin, and the work they did for God through the Southern Baptist Church.
Claudia loved her sons fiercely and she loved the Lord without abandon. She made it her mission to make sure everyone she met felt the love of Christ in some small way. Claudia lost LeeRoy in January 1995. Her second husband taught her she could love again and Claudia married Paul Jaslin on October 16, 1999, adding even more family to love. After Paul’s passing in 2011, Claudia’s increasing loneliness drove her to move to Torrington in order to be close to several of her grandchildren. In her final years, Claudia enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, meeting with her prayer group, and helping run a lady’s group in her building.
Claudia will be greatly missed by many.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parent; brothers Melvin and Thomas; Sister Betty Hindman (Terry); husbands LeeRoy Feeler and Paul Joslin and son LeeRoy Feeler Jr.
She leaves behind sons Christopher (Paula) and Franklin (Patricia), daughter in love Dianne, several nephews and nieces; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren both in blood and in love. A celebration of Claudia’s life will be held at Lifeway Church in Torrington on March 28, 2025, at 2 p.m.
