WICHITA – Carole Lucille McIntosh, of Haysville, Kansas, formally of Torrington passed away on January 30, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, surrounded by her family. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be announced later. 

Carole was born to Vernon and Dorothy Nash on June 17, 1953, in Torrington. She grew up in Torrington with her 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 half-brother. She was later able to connect with 2 additional half-siblings. She married Basil Eugene Reavis Sr. on June 17, 1969, in Torrington and moved to Fort Scott, KS where they raised 2 sons and 2 daughters. They were divorced in 1982 and Carole returned to Torrington with her children. She married Melvin McIntosh in 1983 and they had a daughter together but were divorced in 1986. 

Her passion in life was her family and children. She spent her life working hard and caring for her family, starting with her younger siblings, then her children, and finally her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carole worked various jobs over the years including Keys sewing factory in Fort Scott, KS, cleaning rooms at Kings Inn Hotel and Blue Lantern Motel, managing Blue Lantern Motel, secretarial work at Torrington Chamber of Commerce, cooking for the clients of Diversified Services, managing Burger King, and janitorial services at Goshen Care Center. Carole met her the love of her life, Jim (Jimmy) McDaniels in 1996. They spent their lives attending golf tournaments, playing bingo, visiting Deadwood, SD, collecting clocks, watching their beloved Denver Broncos play, spending time with friends at Tote-Away and Cottonwood Country Club, and various other hobbies. 

She is survived by her brothers Richard (Mary) Nash of Wilcox, NE, Vernon Nash of Torrington, Gary (Laura Lee) Nash of Worland, and Terry Nash of Rapid City,  sisters Patricia Owens of Mitchell, NE and Linda (Jerrold) Tinnell of Chapman, NE; half-siblings Darrell Woods, Jeanie Hugh, and Richard Peterson; sons Randy (Kim) Reavis of Haysville, KS and Basil (Nona) Reavis of Wichita, KS; daughters Dorothy Reavis of Fort Laramie, WY, Heather (James) Rein of Morrill, NE, and Jackie Smith of Haysville, KS; grandchildren Philip Franco, Dustin Franco, Sam Winters of Wichita, KS, Kayla (Brent Metzger) Reavis of Haysville, KS, David (Ashley) Miller, Cassandra Miller, and Miranda Miller, of Torrington, WY, Adrianna (Eric Medina) Miller of Fort Laramie, WY, Randy Reavis and DJ Reavis of Wichita, KS, Dominic Rein and Braeleigh Rein of Morrill, NE, Cameron Smith and Austyn Smith of Haysville, KS; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also, many beloved nieces and nephews. 

Carole was proceeded in death by her parents, Vernon and Dorothy Nash, nephew David Woods, brother-in-law Arthur Owens, sisters-in-law Vicki Nash and Elana Nash, partner Jim McDaniels, as well as former husbands Basil Reavis and Melvin McIntosh, former father and mother-in-law Randal and Velma Reavis, and former brother and sister-in-law Mary and Edward Reavis.
