The Torrington High School Blazers demolished the Worland Warrior's 6-year 3A conference winning streak, defeating their rival and No. 1-ranked team, 3-2.
The Warriors won the first half, 2-1. Torrington roared back in the second half to completely shut out Torrington from scoring. A goal by sophomore Anthony Arnusch tied the game, 2-2, late in the second half.
The 2-2 deadlock remained when the final buzzer sounded, resulting in an overtime shootout. Once again, the two talented teams found themselves in a 7-7 tie in the shooutout. A epic save by junior Ayden Shimic shattered the stalemate and the Blazers triumphed.
