The Torrington High School volleyball and football teams waved to spectators during Thursday’s Homecoming parade down Main Street while the marching band played. The parade was part of a week-long celebration that included Monday’s bonfire, which was cancelled due to high wind, for high school students, Tuesday’s “Buff Puff” powder puff game open to the community, Wednesday’s student-led activity and culminated with Friday’s volleyball games at 2, 3, and 4 p.m., followed by the football game at 6 p.m. and the Homecoming dance at 9 p.m. The week also featured themed dress-up days with a “Sea You at Homecoming” ocean theme, including Jersey Day on Monday, Surfers vs. Bikers on Tuesday, class colors on Wednesday (9th grade-red, 10th grade-green, 11th grade-blue, 12th grade-pink), Blazer Gear on Thursday, and Blazer Gear with Homecoming Attire on Friday.
