A Blackhawk helicopter landed near Kirk Field behind the Lingle-Fort Laramie Elementary School on Wednesday morning. The LFL high school students got the first look and elementary students got to explore the ins and outs of the helicopter throughout the day as part of their reading celebration for students who met their reading goal for the month. One of the Blackhawk pilots, Gary Webster, graduated from Torrington High School in 2006.
