Beth Ann was born on December 31, 1938, to Vernon I. and Katheryn (Emery) Clemens of Yoder. She grew up on a farm near Yoder along with her brothers, Bob, and Jack. She graduated from Yoder High School in 1956, and went on to attend Goshen County Community College, where she met her husband. She and Russell Wells married on March 27, 1959. Beth Ann and Russell found great joy in their farming and ranching lifestyle across the Goshen County area. They also owned and operated Quality Construction, a dirt work and road construction business. Beth Ann and Janet Wagner (sister-in-law) also opened a café called Wag-Wells, which operated out of Torrington by the sale barn. When she wasn’t bookkeeping for the family businesses, Beth Ann enjoyed spending time at the couple’s cabin near Esterbrook playing Liar’s Dice with her family. She also loved occasional trips to Deadwood, where she often won. With each special memory, Beth Ann was always accompanied by her beloved 4-legged companions. Beth Ann was known for her kind heart, sense of humor, and great love for her family.
