TORRINGTON – On Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Banner Health Torrington Community Hospital will be hosting Sunshine and Screening at 2000 Campbell Drive in Torrington for mammograms, snacks and more for women 40 years and older. 

“Most insurance companies cover 100% of the cost for screening mammograms,” the hospital announcement explained. “If you are uninsured or unable to afford a mammogram, please reach out to us for assistance at (307) 534-7201.”

“This is an open to the public event, we are trying to raise awareness for breast cancer screening in the community. Screening Mammograms in Goshen County should be FREE, most insurances cover them at 100% and we do have resources available for people that can’t afford, or do not have any insurance that will cover the cost of a mammogram,” Levi Keener, director of clinical operations explained. 

Scheduled appointments and walk-ins are welcome. 

Participants are asked to use the north entrance.
