The Lingle-Ft. Laramie Student Council raised $1,400 at their third annual Hunger Initiative Dinner and Bake Sale at parent-teacher conferences Wednesday evening. According to the council’s advisor, Erin Estes, the student council has raised over $25,000 in the last three years with a variety of different fundraising events and matching grants. The council has also paid the student lunch debt for two years in a row, totaling $9,400. “Last night’s dinner and bake sale was a free-will donation which serves two purposes - families can come to enjoy a free meal on a busy school night, and people have the opportunity to donate to the cause,” Estes explained.
