GOSHEN COUNTY – A criminal warrant was issued earlier this week for a 60-year-old man, William Kimbrough. Kimbrough is currently facing charges for delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with carries a penalty of a maximum of 20 years imprisonment, a $25,000 fine or both.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigations Special Agent Rebecca Morris was contacted by an agent with the Western Nebraska Intelligence and Narcotics (WING) Division on July 8, 2024. The WING agent advised special agent Morris there was a confidential informant (CI) who was willing to work with Morris to conduct a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Kimbrough.

“CI stated they had been in contact with Kimbrough and they were told by him via cell phone, he was going to Denver, Colorado to pick up methamphetamine. Kimbrough advised CI that he would hold back three ounces of methamphetamine for them,” the affidavit explained. “The agreed upon amount was $900. CI told Kimbrough they would meet him in Torrington, Goshen County, Wyoming on July 12, 2024.

Morris met with CI and a search was conducted of CI’s person and vehicle for contraband, money and weapons. Records indicate, once the CI was cleared, they drove to the agreed upon location to meet Kimbrough.

“During the controlled purchase, Kimbrough sold CI approximately 103.7 grams of methamphetamine, with packaging, for $900 state issued by funds,” the affidavit explained.

The arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday, March 25.

Kimbrough is 6’1”, 265 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
