CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – On Tuesday December 17, 2024, Anthony C. Ramos exchanged time for eternity and departed his earthly home.
Anthony C. Ramos, affectionately known as Tony, was born on November 22, 1945, in Torrington to the late Francisco Ramos and the late Concepcion Romero Ramos.
Tony attended the public schools in Lingle where he had a passion for and excelled in Track and Wrestling and graduated May 23, 1965. Tony immediately enlisted in the United States Navy and served faithfully a tour of four years.
Tony later met and married his beloved Hellen Frazier. To this union, three sons were born. Tony is preceded in death by his son, Demetrius Masror Ramos aka “Wompy” and his sister, Josephine (Fina) Ramos Medina.
Those left to cherish fond memories of Tony are his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Hellen F. Ramos of the home. Two sons, Dion (Sabrina) Ramos of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Rolando Ramos of Goose Creek, South Carolina. One Stepson, Anthony (Ezora) Frazier of Charleston, South Caroline; three stepdaughters, Faye Barnett of Virginia Beach, Virgina., Antoine (Robert aka Bob Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia and Gwendolyn (Alfonso) Simmons of Goose Creek. Four brothers; Arthur (Mary Ellen) Ramos of Torrington, Edward (Lorraine) Ramos of Greely, Colorado, David (Juanita) Ramos of Greely, and Sam Ramos of Torrington. One sister Elena Ramos Medina of Denver. One Brother-In-Law; Robert “Sony” Frazier of Columbia, South Carolina. One Sister-in-law Annie Claire Frazier of Summerville, South Carolina. Twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Interment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle.
