TORRINGTON – The Goshen Community Theater (GCT)’s presentation of Almost, Maine is open now. Performances are scheduled for October 24, 25, 26, 31, and November 1 at 7 p.m., with matinee shows on October 27 and November 2 at 2 p.m. The performances will take place at Eastern Wyoming College (EWC).

Written by John Cariani, Almost, Maine is a whimsical exploration of love and loss, crafted as a series of vignettes that capture the complexity of modern relationships. Set in the fictional town of Almost, Maine, the play dives into the lives of its residents as they navigate the joys and heartaches of love, often with a touch of humor and magic. Each scene offers a unique perspective, showcasing how love can be both transformative and elusive.

The cast features a mix of familiar faces from previous GCT productions alongside new talent. Callie Allred is directing. Winter Hunt, recent EWC alumnus, has created custom illustrations and scene design for the performances.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Almost, Maine. Tickets are sold at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for those under 12 and over 60, those 3 and under are free, and students with ID are $3.

Allred encourages the community to come out to the play: “This particular group of community members has worked very hard to bring this very fun-loving story of all these different types of love. We’re really excited to present this to the community and we hope that everybody comes and supports us and enjoy themselves.” Whether you’re a longtime theater enthusiast or new to the scene, this production promises to be a memorable event!
