TORRINGTON – This Tuesday, Goshen County Library held their adult craft night.
The library gives the opportunity for community members to bring in their own craft, this can look like knitting, crocheting, or even coloring. Whatever you may be interested in, you are welcome to bring.
Then, participants have the opportunity to socialize with other people who are interested in crafting. They have adult craft nights on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 5 to about 6:45.
Katrina Haines, who works at the library, came up with the idea. She started the group because of her own love and talent for crafting. She saw it as an opportunity to share her interests and socialize with community members who enjoy similar things.
It is very interesting to see the variety of craftspeople are working on. They have crocheters, needle workers, beaders, and so much more. They welcome any type of craft.
Another benefit of the group is for those interested in learning a new craft or teaching a new craft, there is likely someone who would be interested. Not only is it great company, but it can also be a fantastic learning opportunity.
The group welcomes most ages. Although mostly aimed at adults, they are not likely to turn away any interested crafters.
