Galen Alexander, center, stands with Jerry Numon, co-director of the local search and rescue, and Teri Shinost, with Waggin’ Tails shelter Wednesday outside the Telegram office in Torrington. Alexander was a representative for the Platte Valley A.B.A.T.E. raffle, which donated $1,587.50 to both Waggin’ Tails and search and rescue. A.B.A.T.E. stands for “A brotherhood against totalitarian enactments,” which is a group that educates motorcyclists and the general public about motorcycling.
