GOSHEN COUNTY – By the time this edition of the Torrington Telegram arrives in mailboxes, the 2025 Wyoming State Wrestling Championships are already underway at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
The tournament opened with the first round in each weight class for both boys and girls at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 27. Quarterfinals followed that evening.
A total of 37 Goshen County wrestlers punched their tickets to the state championships this year after qualifying at various regional tournaments the previous weekend. The state roster includes 17 athletes on the Torrington High School boys team and two from the Torrington girls team.
The combined Lingle-Fort Laramie (LFL/SE) boys team qualified 13 while five girls are representing LFL/SE at state.
Two returning state title holders – Lingle Fort-Laramie seniors Louden Bremer and Nathan Fish – will be competing for another opportunity at gold this year.
Fish is a three-time state champion.
Information, maps, schedules and links to livestreaming of the state tournament are available at the website for the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) at www.whsaa.org/wrestling/statewrestling.
