WEATHERFORD, Texas – The Eastern Wyoming College volleyball team returned to action for the first time since Tuesday, Aug. 29 on Friday and Saturday.

STERLING, Colo. – The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer golf team won the Northeastern Junior College golf tournament in Sterling, Colorado to begin the 2023-24 season on Aug. 31-Sept. 1

YODER – The Southeast High School volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-6, 25-19) sweep of the Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings on Tuesday evening in the team’s home and conference opener.

CHEYENNE – The Torrington High School tennis team traveled to Cheyenne on Tuesday to face Cheyenne Central and East high schools.

LINGLE – Back in the middle of August, the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers found out their week one opponent – St. Stephens – wasn’t sure they’d be able to field a football team. As a result, the teams decided to cancel the game and reschedule it with a sub-varsity team from Cheyenne Central High School.

LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie High School volleyball team fell to Pine Bluffs 3-1 in a 2A Southeast Conference matchup which went back-and-forth the entire match.

YODER – The Southeast High School football team never trailed on a hot Friday afternoon in a 29-6 victory over the Riverside Rebels at Teeters Memorial Field.

MITCHELL, Neb. – It only took two plays and 28 seconds for the host Mitchell Tigers to take a 7-0 lead on Torrington en route to handing the Blazers a 39-7 loss on Friday evening.

GERING, Neb. – Sophomore Sully Wilson picked up his first cross country win of the season on Friday at the Gering XC Invite held at the Five Rocks Amphitheatre in Gering, Nebraska.

TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School volleyball team opened the conference schedule with a 3-1 victory over the Rawlins Lady Outlaws on Friday evening.

BUFFALO – The Torrington High School golf team wrapped up its regular season on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 in Buffalo.

TORRINGTON – The Laramie High School Plainsmen spoiled Torrington’s Senior Day festivities, sweeping the Blazers 5-0 in both the boys’ and girls’ matches on Friday afternoon.

KAYCEE –The Southeast High School volleyball team made quick work of the Kaycee Lady Bucs on Saturday afternoon.

LARAMIE – Down 17-0 at the end of 15 minutes, the University of Wyoming Cowboys scored 20 unanswered points to take a 20-17 lead with 8:58 remaining in the game.

LINGLE – The Lingle-Fort Laramie volleyball stumbled out of the gates with a pair of losses, but as the day went on, the Lady Doggers started to find their rhythm, ending the day with two wins at the annual Lady Dogger Invite last Friday.

TORRINGTON – On Tuesday evening, the Eastern Wyoming College volleyball team opened the home portion of the schedule against the No. 10-ranked Western Nebraska Community College Lady Cougars.

GERING, Neb. – The Torrington High School boys’ tennis team traveled across the state line to Gering, Nebraska on Tuesday afternoon for a triangular with Alliance and Gering.

TORRINGTON – A fumble deep in Torrington territory late in the first quarter set up Gering’s first score of the game 49 seconds into the second quarter.

DOUGLAS – The Torrington High School volleyball team broke even at the Douglas Invite on Friday and Saturday with a 3-3 record.

TORRINGTON – On Thursday, the Torrington High School tennis teams hosted the Kelly Walsh Trojans and the Natrona County Mustangs. Torrington was swept by Kelly Walsh, but the boys’ team salvaged a split with Natrona County.
