LINGLE – With the recent round of winter weather which moved through the area over the weekend, most of the weekend sporting events were put on hold.

RIVERTON – Josie Houk led the Lingle-Fort Laramie/Southeast wrestling team bringing home the much sought-after championship belt each winner gets for winning the annual Ron Thon Invite.

LUSK – A day after coming up short 72-71 in double overtime to the Southeast Cyclones, the Lingle-Fort Laramie boys’ basketball team bounced back into the win column with a 90-63 road victory over the Niobrara County Tigers.

BIG HORN – The Lingle-Fort Laramie boys’ basketball team may have only one of its games, but first-year coach Chris Cook said the team took a step forward at the 2A East Smackdown Tournament held at Big Horn and Tongue River high schools.

DOUGLAS – Wyatt Sylvester and Kaleb Brothwell led a small group of Lingle-Fort Laramie/Southeast wrestlers at the 2023 Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament in Douglas over the weekend.

YODER – The WyoPreps.com Class 1A No. 3-ranked Southeast High School boys’ basketball team began the 2023 portion of the schedule with a pair of dominating wins over 1A Southeast Quadrant foes Rock River and Hanna-Elk Mountain.
