Goshen County School District (GCSD) received a ‘swatting call’ for Torrington High School (THS) at 9:27 a.m. on Monday, April 3. After a thorough search, the Torrington Police Department (TPD) deemed that there was no current threat and the school was removed from the “hold” status at 9:48 a.m.

GOSHEN COUNTY – Make-A-Wish Wyoming announced it is celebrating 700 wishes granted across the state since its inception in 1985; 10 of those wishes were granted for Goshen County families. A future Telegram story will feature one of Goshen County’s most recent Make-A-Wish Wyoming recipients, the family recently returned from Disney World as part of a wish granted.
TORRINGTON – Goshen County Republic Women received a visit from both Goshen County Right to Life and the LifeChoice Pregnancy Center’s mobile medical unit at their meeting on March 17.
TORRINGTON – The Torrington City Council convened for its second March meeting on March 21 at the Torrington Council Chambers. Mayor Herb Doby was present with council members Richard Patterson, Dennis Kelly, Wayne Deahl and Shane Viktorin.
WHEATLAND – Dave Walsh, retired sportscaster for the University of Wyoming Cowboys refers to Wheatland as “Kent Smith country,” and in fact, one of the calls made to friends concerning his retirement before it went public, was to Smith.
GOSHEN COUNTY – Carly Keller and Megan Brittingham with the Goshen County 4-H Extension Office are announcing a new 4-H club called “Discover 4-H.” This club is for new 4-H families coming in who have not participated in 4-H before.
