Verna R. Jepson

YODER – Private family graveside services for Verna R. Jepson, 90, were held Aug. 20, 2021. Verna died at her home in Yoder on July 31, 2021 and cremation has taken place. Memorials in her honor may be given to either the Yoder Fire Department or the Goshen County Quilters Scholarship Fund. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.

Verna was born Oct. 3, 1930 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Noa P. (Hanson) Frahm. She attended school at Trinity Lutheran School in Grand Island until 1945 when she moved with her family to Ravenna, Nebraska and graduated Ravenna High School in 1948.

Verna and Ross A. Jepson were united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1951 in Grand Island. They lived in the Yoder area until 1962 when they moved into the town of Yoder. She was the clerk for the town of Yoder for 17 years and also worked for the Yoder/Southeast Schools for 26 years. 

Verna was a member of the South Goshen Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder.

Verna is survived by her children, Steve Jepson and Billie Magee of Yoder and Stanley Jepson of Torrington; eight grandchildren, Brandon Eaton and his children, Aiden and Zada, Adrian Eaton and his children, David and Kimberly, Brandi McKnight and her children, Raina, Younkin, Holden, Tierney and Cooper Schleve, Becky and Rod Randall and their children, Chase, Jozlynn and Addison, Chase and Michelle Jepson and their sons, Peyton and Trigg Brown and Hunter Jepson, Michelle Wolfe and her sons, Shane Jr. and Zachary, Nichole and Brandon Rost and their daughters, Blakeleigh, Macie and Darci, and Robert Vore and Tyler Osterman and their children, Zayla, Zeke and Zander; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ross; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roy Eaton; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Alice Frahm; and nephew David Frahm.
