TORRINGTON – The Torrington Youth Series Rodeo kicked off the season on May 20.
The evening was cut short due to a city-wide power outage about an hour into the event during the 11-14-year-old pole bending division. The TYS features young rodeo competitors from Goshen, Platte and Niobrara counties and the Nebraska Panhandle.

The season continues Wednesday, May 27. Action gets underway with the open barrel racing at 5:30 p.m., with the youth rodeo starting at 6 p.m.
