Services will be held at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel in Torrington on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. with Reverend Cody Dyer officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.

Tracie was a woman of many colors and many hats. She was a mother to two sons, Jake and Josh, and a daughter Kristin. She was a grandmother to three children: Raylie, Mylah and Jax. She was a sister to Valerie, an aunt to Wesley, Melinda and Melinda’s two children, Luzy and Logan. She was a cousin, a niece and a friend to many more. Her family was the light of her life. She loved spending time with them and the joy it gave her was beyond measure. She was always finding fun and crazy activities to do with her grandchildren that led to lots of laughs and great memories.

She was born to Mike and Sally Knisley in Ardmore, Oklahoma on July 21, 1968. Her father Mike was her rock, a strong shoulder to rely on. Her mother, Sally, was the perfect compliment to Mike as she was her safety net, her source of compassion and security. Tracie carried these attributes into her adult life. She always did her best to put her family at the front of her life. She spent a lot of time as a paralegal working in Cheyenne. She moved to Oklahoma to help take care of her family when they needed it and later moved back to Wyoming to help take care of her grandchildren. In essence she devoted her life to helping her family when they needed it. She always had an uncanny way of finding the fun in almost anything and would do her best to bring up anyone who was down.

Tracie was a bit of a wild one who enjoyed loud music, fast cars and having fun with life. She was a kindred spirit to her cousin, Chris. The two would get into many a shenanigan growing up. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as teaching people about them. She was always into crafts and small projects where she could be creative. One of her passions in life was sharing those creative talents and outlets with her family and teaching them to the people she cared about.

Tracie was survived by her two sons, Josh (Kristin) McGuire of Torrington, and Jake McGuire of Chugwater; her mother, Sally Knisley of Corn, Oklahoma; sister, Valerie (Ware) Morris of Douglas; niece, Melinda (Eleazar) Caballero of Casper; nephew, Wesley Morris of Casper; cousin, Chris Knisley of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandmother, Mandy Hoock of Corn, Oklahoma and many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Wyoming and Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Knisley; grandpa, Albert Hoock; grandma, Rachel Knisley and husband, John McGuire.
