TORRINGTON – A trio of Torrington High School basketball players earned 3A East All-Conference awards which were announced earlier this week.

Sophomore Teryn Stokes was the lone Lady Blazer on the girls’ all-conference list, while seniors Ben Firminhac and Skyler Sargent made the boys’ all-conference team.

Stokes helped lead the Lady Blazers to another trip to the state tournament this year. She averaged 6.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in the two games at the state tournament. Stokes also tallied two steals in Casper last weekend.

The Lady Blazer season ended with two losses at state and with an 11-14 overall record.

On the boys’ division, Firminhac and Sargent led the Blazers to their first state tournament appearance since the 2019 season.

The duo led the team in scoring all season. Sargent averaged 10.6 points per game, while Firminhac averaged 8.4 points. The two also led the team in rebound as Sargent averaged 6.9 boards per game, while Firminhac grabbed 5.5 per game.

Like the girls’ team, the Blazers stay at state this season was short with a pair of losses. The Torrington boys’ team ended the year with a 10-16 record.
