Torrington girls fall just short

DOUGLAS – The Torrington Lady Trailblazers held a fourth-quarter lead over Rawlins in the consolation bracket of the 3A East Regional Tournament, but fell 45-42, ending their season.

Rawlins held a 7-5 lead after the first quarter, but Torrington kept it close with the Lady Outlaws clinging to a 20-19 lead at halftime. Torrington had a stellar third quarter and took a 37-32 lead into the fourth, where Rawlins came around the Lady Blazers to secure the win.

With the loss, the Lady Blazers' season has come to a close. They finished the year at 10-13. Rawlins advanced to the state tournament in Casper next weekend.
