SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – The Torrington Tiger ‘C’ team mustered only two hits in a 13-2 run-ruled loss to WESTCO on Tuesday evening.
WESTCO did most of the damage in the first inning with 11 runs. The other two came in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Meanwhile, the Tigers plated one run apiece in the third and fourth innings.
Rhett Clark and Colby Sandusky collected the only two hits of the game for Torrington. The Tigers managed to walk nine times in the loss.
In the third, Clark singled to open the frame and later came around to score, and in the next inning, S. Teague stole home to cut the WESTCO lead to 11-2.
The Tiger ‘C’ team is now 1-2 on the season and travel a weekend tournament in Douglas May 27-28.
The Tigers play Gillette at 10 a.m. and Green River at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. Schedule for Sunday, May 28 is yet to be determined.
