YODER – A trio of Southeast Cyclone seniors picked up all-conference honors, led by senior Sterling Werner, who also earned all-state recognition.

Werner had a season to remember as a staple for the Cyclones. During the six games of the postseason, he averaged a double-double, notching 12.3 points and 14.3 boards per game. He had two games with 21 rebounds in the postseason. Rounding out his stat line, Werner averaged two assists, 2.2 steals and 2.5 blocks in the final six games of action. For his efforts, Werner was named all-state, all-conference and SEWAC all-conference.

Joining Werner on both the 2A Southeast and SEWAC all-conference lists was fellow senior Kaden Malm. During the postseason, Malm racked up 8.5 points and two rebounds per game. He averaged 2.7 dimes per contest and 2.5 steals per game over the past six contests.

Brady Fullmer was named all-conference for the 2A Southeast conference. The senior racked up 13 points and 5.7 rebounds per game throughout the postseason. Rounding out his state line, Fullmer averaged 1.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Southeast coach Crockett Herring also earned postseason recognition as the SEWAC boys coach of the year. After posting a 12-13 record last year and missing the state tournament, the Cyclones rebounded this year to go 14-13 on their way to a consolation championship at the 2A State Tournament. Herring guided the Cyclones this year with only three seniors and two juniors on the squad, with the remainder of the roster made of freshmen and sophomores.

Werner was the only Southeast representative on the all-state list, with Big Piney, Lovell, Wright and Wyoming Indian all having one all-state honoree. Pine Bluffs led the way with three on the list, while Rocky Mountain and Wind River each had two.
