YODER – After winning their fourth straight matchup last Friday night at Tongue River, the Southeast Cyclones moved up one spot to No. 4 in the latest WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Poll.
The move by the Cyclones highlighted several changes in the Class 1A rankings heading into this week’s games.
Big Horn staying at No. 1 was the only thing that didn’t change, as Upton-Sundance moved back into the No. 2 spot, while Cokeville slides down one at No. 3. Meanwhile, Niobrara County moves back into the top five at No. 5.
Those changes set up a No. 2 versus No. 4 showdown Friday evening at Teeters Memorial Field in Yoder between the Patriots (5-1 overall and 3-1 in the 2A East) and the Cyclones (4-1 and 3-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
In Class 3A, there were no changes.
Star Valley, Cody, Jackson, Douglas and Powell remain 1-5, respectively.
Torrington (1-4 overall and 0-2 in the 3A East) travels to Riverton (2-4 and 1-1) on Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup.
