Southeast girls start tournament with upset

The third-seeded Southeast Lady Cyclones started off the 2A East Regional tournament with an upset over second-seed Wright this morning, 46-34.

Southeast started the game with tough defense to take an 11-5 lead and by halftime were up 19-12. Heading into the final frame, the Lady Cyclones were up 31-21 with a quarter to go and held on for the win.

Southeast returns to the floor at Eastern Wyoming College tomorrow at 4 p.m., when the Lady Cyclones take on the winner between Lusk and Moorcroft.
