YODER – Riding a three-game winning streak, the Southeast Cyclones cracked the top five of WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Poll released Wednesday morning.

With Friday’s 26-24 win over the Niobrara County High School, the Cyclones filled the void left by the Tigers, who fell out of the poll as a result of the loss.

YODER – Riding a three-game winning streak, the Southeast Cyclones cracked the top five of WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Poll released Wednesday morning.

With Friday’s 26-24 win over the Niobrara County High School, the Cyclones filled the void left by the Tigers, who fell out of the poll as a result of the loss.

This week, Southeast (3-1 overall and 2-0 in the 1A East) travels to Tongue River (1-3 and 0-3) for a 6 p.m. kickoff.

Big Horn holds down the top spot after defeating Upton-Sundance, who fell to No. 3. Cokeville moved up to No. 2, while Rocky Mountain moved up one spot to No. 4.

In Class 3A, there was no change. Star Valley, Cody, Jackson, Douglas and Powell continue to be 1-5, respectively.

Torrington (1-3) travels to Douglas (3-1) on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest.

In the 6-Man division, the top three of Little Snake River, Farson-Eden and Hanna-Elk Mountain remained the same. Hulett moves into the top five at No. 4, while Kaycee stays at No. 5.

The Lingle-Fort Laramie (1-3) game on Friday against Midwest was cancelled due to an illness going around the school.

“We just got a call from Midwest this morning,” L-FL AD Mike Lashley told the Telegram via email. “They are having an illness run through their school and will not have enough kids to field either a middle school or high school football team on Friday. They will be forfeiting.
