Director of Goshen County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) Search and Rescue Team Lou Hubbs, back left, GCSO Undersheriff Jeremy Wardell, Search and Rescue Certified Flanker Brian Lovik, front left, and Search and Rescue Certified K9 Handler and Co-Director Jerry Numon, gather to celebrate Pax, who became a nationally certified HRD dog last month. Pax, Numon and Lovik traveled to Indiana April 25-29 for five days of intensive testing to achieve national certification through Law Enforcement Training Specialist International. LETS International certifies K9s and handlers in cadaver, tracking, trailing, air scent and more. Goshen County Search and Rescue is an independent, non-profit organization composed of adults willing to train, certify and give back to their community and state, as well as two certified K9s, including Pax and Diggs, who is an advanced tracking/trailing dog. There are also four other K9s currently in training.
