TORRINGTON – Scott A. Oliver passed away pm May 23, 2019, at his home in Thermopolis, Wyo. Scott was born Oct. 16, 1970, to Dick L. and MaryAnn (Walker) Oliver in Torrington.
Scott was raised in Fort Laramie and Wheatland areas. He graduated from Wheatland High in 1988 where he played football. While in high school, Scott spent a significant amount of time with his grandfather, Fred Walker. Scott worked for various companies as a truck driver, at the time of his death he was working for Ryan Brothers.
He married Wendy Prewitt and had two children, Justin and Baily, both of Guernsey. The couple later divorced.
Scott was proceeded in death by his father, grandfather Fred Walker and grandmother Lola Russell.
He is survived by his loving mother MaryAnn Simpson and the love of his life and best friend, his dog, Boo. He is also survived by his children Justin (Bailey) Prewitt and Bailey (Chris) Orr, both of Guernsey; several step-siblings Bryanna (Missy) Zavala of Cheyenne, Anthony (Buffy) Zavala of Wheatland and Majestic Zavala of Sulfer, La.; plus several estranded step-siblings from his father.
There will be grave side services at the Fort Laramie Cemetary, June 6 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to family in care of MaryAnn Simpson, 219 W. 22nd Ave, Torrington, WY 82240.
