TORRINGTON – S. Carl Wilson, 70, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 of COVID-19.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be given to Gideon’s or the family.
Carl was born July 2, 1950, in Joplin, Mo. the son of Seth Charles and Anna Manervia (Friend) Wilson. He was a loving and faithful husband with many interests. Over the years, he managed church camps, worked with both Campfire Boys and Girls and the Boy Scouts of America. He loved music, singing in many choruses and cantatas, as well as playing drums with the EWC Community Band. He also loved to act and was involved in many theatrical productions. Carl was also a skilled wood carver.
He was an active member in the First Baptist Church of Torrington and a member of Gideon’s International. He was also a member of Southeast Wyoming Art Association.
Carl is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Connie King Wilson; children, Rosha, Savia, Joanna and Seth, and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and nine siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant grandson.
