BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Ronald Gene Clapp died Aug. 8, 2018, at his home in Bloomington, Ind.  He was born Oct. 14, 1940 in a farmhouse in Goshen County to Harold L. and Uva D. (Terrell) Clapp.   He had a brother, Larry, and a sister, Sandi, with whom he had a very close relationship.

He grew up on various farms in rural Goshen County.  He worked at various jobs in the area, but eventually settled in Cheyenne where he worked for Frito Lay.  After 45 years in Wyoming, he moved to Bloomington.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Haynes, son, Rodney Clapp, daughter Regina Pacheco, grandchildren Emily and Sean, his brother-in-law Daniel W. Palmer, nieces, Paula and Phyllis, nephews, Troy and Jon, several great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother and numerous aunts and uncles. A graveside funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 13, at Valhalla Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Entombment followed.
