PUBLIC NOTICE

BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
        Tuesday March 17, 2020
    The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present, Chairman John Ellis, Vice Chairman Cody Cox, Pinky Walter Commissioner and Cindy Kenyon, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the agenda and minutes of the last meeting, seconded and passed.
    Chairman Ellis announced there would be an update from public health at today’s meetings.

    The Sheriff’s report was presented by Kory Fleenor. Commissioner Walter moved to accept the earnings report for $2120.00 from the Sheriff, seconded and passed.
    The Treasurer’s report was presented by Leticia Dominguez. Treasurer Dominguez requested approval of the depositories for the County. Commissioner Walter moved to accept the report and approve the depository letter, seconded and passed.
    The County Clerk’s report was presented by Cindy Kenyon. Clerk Kenyon requested approval of the updated warrant report, seconded and passed. A Worker’s Compensation Safety Program Grant was presented to purchase portable scaffolding. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the grant application as presented, seconded and passed.
    Heather Saul, Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator for Goshen County and Niobrara County, Shelly Kirchhefer, Emergency Manager and Kelly Beard, Goshen County Public Health Director Kelly Beard updated the Commissioners on the Covid 19 outbreak. Chuck Kenyon, City of Torrington Emergency Manager said the City is taking precautions, planning for the future, and is still open for business. Commissioner Cox expressed appreciation for everyone keeping the Commissioners and public updated frequently. The County offices are also taking precautions, but the businesses offices are open. Judge Korell described the precautions taken by the District Court.
    A letter of interest was received from Shay Shimic for the Weed and Pest District and Milton Green for the Fair Board. Commissioner Walter moved to appoint Shay Shimic to the Weed and Pest Board for a term ending December 21, 2020 and Milton Green to the Fair Board for a term ending December 31, 2024, seconded and passed.
    The meeting adjourned at 9:50 am. Departmental reports are available at goshencounty.org or at the County Clerk’s Office. The next regular meeting will be held Tuesday April 7, 2020.
