BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
Tuesday October 1, 2019

The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present, Chairman John Ellis, Vice Chairman Cody Cox, Commissioner Pinky Walter and Cindy Kenyon, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the agenda and minutes of the last meeting, seconded and passed.
The Road Report was accepted from Interim Superintendent Val Hankins, County Surveyor Bob Taylor and County Planner Gary Childs. In addition to the road report provided, the Commission stated they have a preliminary road superintendent job description which will be reviewed in the near future. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the road and bridge report, seconded and passed.
The County Clerk report was accepted from Cindy Kenyon. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the Extension Salary Agreement as revised, seconded and passed. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the warrants for payment, seconded and passed. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the County Clerk’s report, seconded and passed.

The Clerk of District Court report was accepted from Brandi Correa. Commissioner Walter moved to accept the Clerk of Court report, seconded and passed.
Earnings reports were received from the Clerk of District Court $2511.28; County Clerk $21,285.50
Commissioner Cox moved to approved Resolution 2019-12 A Resolution Reminding Goshen County Men to Register with Selective Service, seconded and passed.
The Emergency Manager and Fire Warden reports were presented by Shelly Kirchhefer and Bill Law. The Fire Warden plans to continue the fire ban until October 31. The Fire Warden presented Resolution 2019-11 A Resolution in Support of National Fire Prevention Week. Chairman Ellis read the proposed Resolution. Commissioner Cox moved to approve Resolution 2019-11 A Resolution Honoring National fire Prevention Week October 6 to October 12, 2019, seconded and passed. Commissioner Walter moved to accept the Emergency Manager and Fire Warden reports, seconded and passed.
The Commission discussed the proposed MOU with the State for upgrades to the Courtrooms. Commissioner Cox moved to discuss this with the County Attorney, seconded and passed.
Ken Dockweiler with Bridger presented information on the Equality Pipeline.
The meeting adjourned at 11:05 am. Departmental reports and minutes are available online at goshencounty.org or at the County Clerk’s Office. The next regular meeting will be held Tuesday October 15, 2019.
