The Goshen Irrigation District “GID” will conduct a public meeting at 10 A.M. on October 2nd, 2019 in their Board Room, 2912 W E St, Torrington, WY 82240. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on GID’s requested Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund from the Office of State Land & Investments in the amount of 4 million at 2.5% interest over a 30 year term that will include a 3 million dollar principal forgiveness component for expenses and emergency repairs to its irrigation system, Tunnel #2, which collapsed in July, 2019. The district plans to fund the repayment of the project through landowner assessments of an increase of $5.00 an acre in the 2019-2020 fiscal year and beyond.
