April 19
8:13 a.m. – Assist other agency, East M Street, Torrington – Informed unidentified subject had a warrant.
9:29 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requesting to speak with an officer regarding child restraint requirements.
10:48 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Monte Vista Road, Torrington – Caller reported three separate occasions of identical robot-call recordings from three separate telephone numbers, claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service.
11:25 a.m. – Animal call, Road 72 G, Torrington – Caller reported a pit bull loose in the area; Caller said the dog running loose is an ongoing issue; Said she had to throw her water bottle at the dog this time, said she’d really like something done.
12:16 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East I Street, Torrington – Caller requested a call-back to speak to an officer referencing an apparent scam phone call.
2:06 p.m. – Disturbance, East Fort Street, Ft. Laramie – Female caller, reportedly could hear arguing with an unidentified male in the background; Call was disconnected.
2:51 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Report an unidentified person possibly has a shotgun in a vehicle at the location.
10:30 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 19th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a possible party with minors in attendance.
April 20
4:31 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 23rd Avenue, Torrington – Report of neighbors fighting in the alley.
6:31 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Report of a white Mercedes; individual reported driving without a license and has a restraining order against them, not supposed to be in the area.
7:01 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Report of a scam telephone call, left a voicemail; Caller requested a callback to speak to an officer.
9:39 p.m. – Civil problem, Haines Street, Torrington – Caller reported his ex wife is harassing him, both in person and via text messaging; Caller said he’s asked her multiple times to stop, requested a callback to speak to an officer.
April 21
12:18 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East A Street, Torrington – Received an anonymous tip of minors at a party; possible Driving Under the Influence if parties are leaving the scene.
11:05 a.m. – Motor vehicle accident, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Caller reported hitting a vehicle with a trailer home while moving it in; Owner of the vehicle apparently not home; Caller requested information of process for filing an accident report.
4:28 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Road 72 G, Torrington – Caller stated there were five people in the driveway; Requested responders immediately.
April 22
12:10 a.m. – Suspicious person, Road 53 D, Torrington – Caller reported a man walking by activated a motion-sensitive light; Once the light came on, the individual ran away.
4:21 a.m. – Car fire, West B Street, Torrington – Car on fire in back yard; Caller reported “lots of popping noise(s).”
1:04 p.m. – Suspicious person, Hope Road, Torrington – Caller reported “suspicious people” at the end of hope road in a white SUV and a white four-wheeler; Parties reportedly “doing donuts” on the four-wheeler and were arguing.
6:49 p.m. – Animal call, East A Street, Torrington – Caller reported a baby squirrel fell out of a tree on the property; Wondering if anything could be done.
7:52 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Rawhide on State Hwy. 156, Torrington – Caller reported a big tree smoldering in the river and was
concerned.
April 23
1:03 p.m. – Traffic violations, Main Street, Torrington – Caller alleged a beet truck pulled out of the sugar plant and almost hit their vehicle; Claimed the driver of the beet truck didn’t look to see if anyone was coming.
1:17 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Road 66 X, Torrington – Report of a black Ford Mustang “tearing around” the area all morning; Caller was concerned they were “scoping for stuff to steal.”
2:10 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported an apparent IRS scam call; Was referred to police via their bank.
2:23 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 25th Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an officer, claiming they were currently with a child who reported finding drugs at his father’s house recently.
2:35 p.m. – Domestic, East J Street, Torrington – Female caller reported her husband threw something at her and broke her nose; Requesting EMS.
3:57 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East K Street, Torrington – Report of individuals point lasers at passing traffic.
5:42 p.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requesting to bring her son to the police department to speak to an officer regarding things he reportedly said on
the bus.
April 24
5:27 a.m. – Assault, West 24th Avenue, Torrington – Female subject reported she’d been assaulted by an unidentified male; He left the scene in a grey car, unknown make, possibly on way to Cheyenne.
9:51 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requesting to file a report referencing identity theft.
9:55 a.m. – Assist the public, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an officer regarding a text from his ex-wife, thanking him for calling the police on her; Caller also advised he’s receiving messages that his wife called the police department, claiming he has a no-contact order; The caller advised he doesn’t have a wife and wasn’t sure what was going on.
April 25
2:11 a.m. – Disturbance, East Valley Road, Torrington – Report of a male subject in the store, yelling and bad-mouthing police for arresting him for DUI; Subject arguing he wasn’t drunk, but caller reported he smelled strongly of alcohol and was bothering other customers with questions.
8:23 a.m. – Animal call, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported there’s a robin that had been pecking at the window for the past 10 days, flying into the window every day; Requested to speak to someone about what they can do.
12:30 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 22nd Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to an officer; Claimed he “got scammed.”
1:12 p.m. – Animal call, West C Street, Torrington – Caller requested to speak to animal control officer referencing feral cats; Caller claimed 30-40 feral cats in the neighborhood, getting under her trailer and making her house smell like cat urine.
1:33 p.m. – Animal call, East H Street, Torrington – Caller said something needs to be done about all the stray cats in the area; Nobody in the area claims ownership and caller said she’s sick of cats “using her front door of a bathroom;” Now the weather is warming, it “smells
very bad.”
8:50 p.m. – Assist the public, East E Street, Torrington – Caller reported juveniles with baseball bats hitting signs.
