Jan. 11
8:17 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller reported overhearing a customer talking on the phone to someone, apparently giving a list of instructions; Caller said they heard something about “selling a box of guns.” Caller was very bothered by the comment that a box of guns was to be sold in Torrington.
11:51 a.m. – Assist the public, call to Torrington Police, Torrington – Caller advised she needed to get remainder of her belongings from her mother’s home and her mother won’t let her on the property; requested call-back.
2:13 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, to TPD, Torrington – Caller reported phone calls from an unknown female, advising him is social security is in jeopardy; had received two calls that day.
2:37 p.m. – Assist the public, Main Street, Torrington – Caller advised he’d locked his keys in his semi, parked on Main Street; Dispatched advised caller he could contact a locksmith; Caller requested dispatch make the call, because his phone was locked in the truck.
3:05 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – FedEx delivered a package with instructions to leave at Torrington High School; Caller was concerned because package was from a firearms company.

Jan. 12
1:55 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported someone ripped the off-road lights from their truck.
1:58 p.m. – Minor in possession, West C Street, Torrington – Minor in possession of tobacco.
2:37 p.m. – Log information, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Caller reported an apparent IRS scam telephone call.
9:11 p.m. – Disturbance, East A Street, Torrington – Caller reported a red truck parked across from the address had been running for more than 30 minutes; Caller said it was a regular occurrence and the subject had ignored the caller when attempted to talk to them about it.

Jan. 13
12:44 a.m. – Minor having consumed, West C Street, Torrington – Report of college-age kids running around the area on foot chasing each other; apparently from a party at a residence north of caller.
1:41 a.m. – Assault, Call to TPD, Torrington – Officer requested to contact referencing a patient that was assaulted with serious
bodily injury.
10:15 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Campbell Drive, Torrington – Caller reported hearing gunshots to the west of their residence every morning.
1:56 p.m. – Assist the public, West C Street, Torrington – Caller requested assistance lifting a manhole cover; Lost a pipe-snake down the manhole and needs to retrieve it.
5:09 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported a Hispanic female in the toy section of a store attempted to remove the caller’s cell phone from her pocket; Described as short build wearing a dark-colored sweat outfit accompanied by a male wearing an orange vest.

Jan. 14
1:37 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Fremont Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported an unidentified individual is sending what were described as inappropriate photos to their 16-year-old daughter via social media; Both the caller and the daughter said they don’t know the individual sending the photos.

Jan. 15
7:12 p.m. – Disturbance, East 19th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported a man and woman fighting on the sidewalk in front of the Senior Center; reported subjects were westbound.

Jan. 16
11:14 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West A Street, Torrington – Caller requested to speak with an officer regarding their daughter allegedly having a felony warrant and to update the “no trespassing” designation for their residence.
3:45 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Main Street, Torrington – Caller requested an officer to come talk with their grandson; reported unnamed individuals were chasing him down the alley.
8:23 p.m. – Vandalism, West 24th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported someone through a rock through his living room window.

Jan. 17
9:07 a.m. – Assist the public, call to TPD, Torrington – Caller reported a mailing, purporting to be from Blue Cross, saying recipient could be reimbursed for Medicare payments; Requested opinion on whether it was legitimate or not.
1:53 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Laramie Street, Torrington – Reported resident-on-resident assault; One resident pinched another person’s ear.
9:47 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West B Street, Torrington – Caller reported someone trying to get into their camper in the alley; Subject ran up the alley, could not identify.
