Feb. 11
7:24 a.m. – Assist the public, West A Street, Torrington – Caller reported they would be releasing an employee at 11 a.m. for selling tobacco to a minor; Manager requested officer to speak to juvenile employee ref. tobacco, nicotine and vaping laws and not being in possession.
11:55 a.m. – Assist the public, Torrington Police Dept. – Caller had questions ref. the hiring process for officers.
2:17 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Anonymous report of a juvenile allegedly intoxicated; Passive preliminary breath test administered; positive results on two tests.
7:13 p.m. – Disturbance, West 26th Avenue, Torrington – Report of a female in the residence, screaming and yelling at a male subject; Caller wasn’t sure if the altercation had been physical, but the male was reportedly yelling, “Don’t hit me again.”
Feb. 12
1:16 a.m. – Assist the public, Clover Avenue, Lingle – 911 call; Individual at location stated they were on the phone with their daughter when a recording came up, stating the call would be routed to 911. There was no emergency.
7:08 a.m. – Traffic violations, Road 72, Torrington – Caller requesting additional patrol to look for speeders.
9 a.m. – Assist the public, Buena Vista Avenue, Torrington – Request for additional patrol ref. someone looking through windows; Found footprints in the snow.
Feb. 13
2:32 a.m. – Pedestrian check, West A Street and West 21st Avenue, Torrington – Individual taking a walk.
2:27 a.m. – Suspicious person, East 20th Avenue, Torrington – Officer contacted two individuals walking in the area; Reportedly taking a break from a game and scavenging cigarettes.
4:46 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Torrington Police Dept. – Received two calls; first call disconnected when dispatch answered; second call, a female requested to speak to an officer and when dispatcher requested her name, she disconnected; called number several times and left messages, no call back.
5:30 a.m. – Assist the public, Torrington Police Dept. – Male subject stated he has video of his girlfriend abusing him; said he ran to the TPD because she threatened to do a lot of bad things to him and he wants her out of his residence.
5:55 a.m. – Suspicious person, location not provided – Report of strange people walking around in the area and the dog is going crazy; Too dark and can’t see anyone, but the caller said they know their life is in danger.
9:35 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Bighorn Street, Torrington – Caller reported her husband’s car had been broken into and books/school identification were taken; Caller said she thought she know who took the items and can see them in that person’s car.
6:47 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Cemetery Road, Lingle – Caller’s neighbor reported LEOs had been to the residence; Caller requested to know what was going on.
10:03 p.m. – Disturbance, Torrington Apartments, Torrington – Caller reported their downstairs neighbor was playing loud music; Caller said they’d repeatedly requested he stop and were refused.
Feb. 14
8:39 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle, East Merriam Street, Fort Laramie – Report of a maroon and black car parked behind the residence; vehicle has South Dakota plates and front-end damage; Caller said cars usually do not park in this location.
10:12 a.m. – Animal call, West C Street, Torrington – Report of an injured goose on the old Wiseman soccer field.
1:38 p.m. – Juvenile problem, West C Street, Torrington – Report of a student possibly with tobacco.
3:52 p.m. – Assist the public, East K Street, Torrington – Caller requested extra patrol, due to some “fishy customers.”
8:24 p.m. – Assist the public, Torrington Police Dept. – Caller said they received a call soliciting donations for the Fraternal Order of Police; the caller said they thought it was odd. Caller informed no one in Goshen County currently raising money for law enforcement and local agencies don’t receive donations from that organization.
8:56 p.m. – Assist the public, East Valley Road, Torrington – Caller reported receiving multiple threatening telephone calls from a customer, threating to beat the caller up; Business will close about 10 p.m., requested an officer there to be sure there were no problems.
Feb. 15
12:13 a.m. – Disturbance, Main Street, Torrington – Report of customers who would not leave the bar.
7:48 a.m. – Log information, Radio Road, Torrington – Caller reported the railroad crossing arms are down and there’s not a train coming; Caller didn’t know who to report it to.
9:15 a.m. – Animal call, location not provided – Caller requested call back referencing information on bathing his dog.
11:11 a.m. – Assist the public, Main Street and Valley Road, Torrington – Report of crossing arms down and no train coming; Contacted Burlington-Northern and crew will be sent.
11:30 a.m. – Animal call, East 11th Avenue, Torrington – Caller requested a call back referencing questions about getting his chihuahua fixed.
7:04 p.m. – Larceny, Main Street, Lingle – Fuel drive off; dark-colored pickup headed toward Fort Laramie.
10:40 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West A Street, Torrington – Store employee received a call telling her to bring the money to Maverik and “they are watching her close the store.” Probably a scam call; money secured and business locked, officer stayed until employee was picked up.
11:10 p.m. – Suspicious person, Main Street and Curtis Avenue, Torrington – Train crew advised an individual wearing a black hoodie and black jeans was standing in the middle of the tracks taking pictures; Crew reportedly had to go into emergency stop to avoid hitting them; last seen southbound on foot. Gone on arrival.
Feb. 16
9:38 a.m. – Animal call, West 15th Avenue, Torrington – Report of a little black calf lost from the corn field north of Pioneer Park; Calf later found.
10:34 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East 17th Avenue, Torrington – Caller said they were at the car wash and it appeared someone had shot two panes of glass out with a bb gun.
11:23 a.m. – Assist the public, Monaco Road, Torrington – Caller said duck hunters aren’t paying attention; are shooting toward caller’s house and neighbor’s house; requested deputy to come talk to them.
2:37 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East F Street, Torrington – Caller reported hearing “a few shots,” then their dogs started barking; Not sure where the shots were coming from, but it sounded close to the location.
3:45 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, Jirdon park, Torrington – Report of four boys attempting to get into a city building; Children were playing around, looking for another child in a hide-and-seek type game.
10:47 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West 17th Avenue, Torrington – Caller reported unidentified individual attempting to enter the apartment; Requested extra patrols. Responding officer reported no one in the vicinity.
Feb. 17
9:08 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, U.S. Hwy. 26-85, Torrington – Report of a blue, four-door Jaguar; Unidentified individual sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot, intoxicated.
9:17 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances, West C Street, Torrington – Caller reported they were in Lancer Hall at Eastern Wyoming College and can smell marijuana; Residence Advisor said they would check the video.
10:10 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances, East B Street, Torrington – Caller reported someone crawling around in the dumpsters in the alley behind the residence wearing a black hoodie and dark pants; While officer speaking with caller, a neighbor came out wearing a black hoodie and threw some items in the dumpster; Officer assuming it was the neighbor the caller saw.
