COPELAND, Kan.Patricia (Pat) Ludden Croft, 87, left this life on Aug. 1, 2018 at the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron, Kan. She was born on Oct. 28, 1930, at Morrill, Neb., the daughter of Chauncey and Eunice (Harris) Ludden. 

Pat received her early education in rural schools and graduated in 1948 from Torrington High School in Torrington. Pat married James Croft on July 3, 1952, in Torrington. They lived in many places in Nebraska and Wyoming until they settled in Garden City, Kan., in 1972, where they lived until Pat retired. After retiring, they lived on the road and visited all but one of the 50 states. Pat moved to Copeland after the death of her husband. In October of 2017, Pat moved to the Shepherd’s Center in Cimarron. 

Survivors include: sons, J.T Croft (Shelia), Copeland, Steven Croft (Joyce), Durham, Kan., and Karl Croft, Chapel Hill, N.C.; daughter, Susan Holmes Vance), Gering, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Hochsprung; and brothers, Harley Ludden and wife Nancy and Chris Ludden. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; sisters, Glenna Knoepfle, Tressa Arnold, and Jacqueline Anderson, and brother, Harris Ludden. 

Memorial service at Copeland Christian Church, Copeland, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018. Cremation has taken place.
