ALEXANDRIA, Ky. – Naomi Ruth Sanders, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 15, 2021. She passed away at home in Alexandria, where she was living with her daughter (Martha Glick) and son-in-law (Dan Glick). Naomi was born in Wayne, West Virginia, on March 11, 1933, to the late Lee and Mollie Carroll. She spent most of her teen years in missionary work with her parents in Haiti. After marriage, she and her husband raised their four children on a farm and ranch in Wyoming. Naomi was known to her family and friends as an industrious and selfless person. She loved giving to others and thrived at the work of nursing.
Surviving are her four children, Leroy (Hazel) Sanders, Martha (Dan) Glick, Daniel (Sharon) Sanders, Mary (Sam) Rosengreen, 14 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Sanders, and her brother, Paul Carroll.
A memorial service will be held in LaGrange, Wyoming at the LaGrange Bible Church on Friday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. with a time of visitation 30 minutes prior.
