MONROE, Neb. – Mary Lou Lovitt, 74, of Monroe died peacefully in the arms of her one and only true love of her life on April 14, 2018.

Mary was born in Torrington to Melvin (Bud) and Nellie (Hedglin) Kirlin, the youngest of four children. Mary grew up and graduated Torrington High School. 

After graduation she married Claud William (Bill) Lovitt on Jan. 13, 1963. They traveled to many states as Bill was in the military. They had nine children. Mary lived a very adventurous life and will be missed by so many.

Mary had many hobbies – she could knit, crochet, do wood work, paint and her favorite was making toys out of plastic canvas for her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Mary is survived by her husband, Bill, her sister Lila (Mickey) Baldwin, brother in-law Daniel (Sherri) Lovitt, her sons, Loren (Rene), Michael (Heather), William, Brian (Tammy), Shawn, Justin (Kris) and her daughters, Shanna (Michael) Smith, Kathy (Cortney) Grim and Cassandra. Grand-kids Daniel Lovitt, Joseph Rogers, Arron, Kenneth, Mersadies, Monica, Angelina Lovitt, Christopher, Colton Lovitt, Brian Jr. (Stacie) Lovitt, Scott Patrick, Amber Lovitt, Kendra (Jay) Smith, Chandler (Marvin) Jones, Calvin David, Holden Grim. Great-grandkids Kaleb, Kayleigh Smith, Gracie Jones, Paige, Warren and Tylor Lovitt, and two on the way along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Emma (Curly) Able, Eva (Toots) Bayless, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and a grandson, Tylor Patrick.
