TORRINGTON – “If you love your country, thank a vet,” Lincoln Elementary students sang.
Music teacher Courtney Firminhac has been working with the kids on this song since early October. One of the first questions the kids ask her every year is what song they will sing for the Veterans Day program.
“I think that means a lot to them, and it helps them to feel community and helps them feel like they’re a part of something,” she said. “I’m just so very thankful that we were able to do this again this year.”
