McCOOK, Neb. – Although the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers put together two solid halves, those halves came in two separate games, resulting in two EWC road losses to close out the season.

The Lancers took an early lead against the Indians, holding a 30-24 advantage at the break, but McCook exploded for 51 points in the second half, while EWC was limited to 28 points. The 23-point difference resulted in a wide margin of victory for the home team.

Nick Holmes came off the bench and was the top scorer for EWC, shooting 7-of-15 from the field on his way to 15 points, three rebounds and a steal.

For the starters, Alek Cosic and Jordan Mirich both recorded 12 points on the night, with both knocking down a three-pointer and three free throws. Cosic finished the night with a double-double, pacing EWC with 15 rebounds, including six on offense. Mirich kicked in another eight boards and two steals.

EWC struggled out of the gates and were down 40-30 to the Knights at halftime. EWC came out with a vengeance in the second half, pouring in 46 points, outscoring North Platte by five in the second half, but it was not enough to make up the difference from the first half.

Meadows was the top scorer for the Lancers, shooting 9-of-15 from the floor, including 2-of-5 from behind the arc, along with six rebounds. Alek Cosic was hot from three-point land, shooting 5-of-8 from deep on his way to 16 points, three rebounds and three assists on the night.
