MITCHELL, Neb. – The Southeast Lady Cyclones hit the road Thursday to take on undefeated Mitchell and after falling behind early, weren’t able to recover in a 71-17 loss.
The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 30-6 lead in the first frame. In the second quarter, Southeast was limited to three points, while Mitchell added another 23 points to their total. In the third, Southeast kept the home team to 16 points and scored five of their own. The Lady Cyclones held an advantage in the fourth quarter, outscoring Mitchell 3-2 in the finals eight minutes of action.

The loss dropped Southeast to 8-7 on the year with a 2-1 record against 2A Southeast opponents. The Lady Cyclones played Lingle-Fort Laramie on Thursday after the press deadline and they return to action Friday on the road against Pine Bluffs, with a 4:30 p.m. tipoff.
